nicht mehr ob ich zu
ihnen gehöre. Aber
ich bin in langer Kolonne
gegangen. Ich habe den Tode gefeiert
mit ihnen In Sterbens-
gebeten …
spürte ich im wärmsten
den toten Nach-
bar
An diesem schneeverschmutzten
Nachmittag [Er ?]
hatte sich in den Strick
gehängt, weil ihm zu kalt
war in dieser weißen Sonne.

Translation:
Now I don't care
Anymore
whether I belong to them. But
I walked in a long column. I celebrated death
with them. In prayers for the dying...
I felt in the warmest part
of my dead neighbor. On this snow-stained
afternoon [He?]
had hung himself in the rope
because he was too cold
in this white sun.
